The Largest Bespoke Build To Date by The Pet Carpenter
Featuring Osmo Polyx®-Oil 3071 Honey, this unique hallway installation for a family home in Scotland has been designed and built by The Pet Carpenter to provide comfortable and practical bedrooms for three Flat-Coated Retriever dogs, while also providing a welcoming space for the family.
Additional storage for coats, functionality of daily life, and a timeless design to complement the home was imperative.
Design to Detail
The design underwent thoughtful refinements:
- Bars added to one of the bedroom ends for visibility and ventilation.
- Coat rails in each cupboard, with pull-down functionality for easy access.
- Upgrade to solid oak, ensuring durability and elegance.
- Bespoke soft furnishings added at the end of the project, crafted to perfectly complement the oak structure and ensure the bedrooms are as comfortable as they are stylish.
To ensure ease of delivery and fitting, the piece was constructed in sections, crafted to assemble seamlessly within the client’s home.
The Final Build
The finished piece is a statement of form and function:
- Three dog bedrooms with removable bar dividers and up-and-over doors
- Large drawers above each bedroom for practical storage
- Three tall cupboards above, each with a double-door opening and pull-down coat rails
- A sturdy, elegant oak structure, completed with brass latches and bars
