Osmo has not used MEKO chemicals in its products for many years now.
What is MEKO?
MEKO (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Oxime – 2-Butanone Oxime) is a highly flammable liquid which is widely used as solvent for protective coatings and paints.
It is now classified as a carcinogen and is considered a restricted substance under the REACH regulations. Consequently, any paint containing >0.1% MEKO cannot be sold to the general public since March 2022.
