If you’re looking for a hardwax oil protector for your wooden floor, which is easy to use, leaves a lustrous finish and smooth to the touch; then the Osmo Polyx-Oil is the product for you.
Tests have shown that compared to polyurethane based products, which leave a plastic-like finish, the Polyx-Oil leaves a flat even surface, retaining the 3D effect of the wood-grain.
The Natural Hardwax Floor Sealer
Polyx-Oil has been developed to preserve your wooden flooring twofold. The natural plant oils penetrate the material protecting it from the inside, while the hard wax component of the product remains on the surface.
Due to its composition of plant extracts, once it has completely cured, it leaves a more even colour and harmonious finish. It is safe to plants, animals and humans – so can be used for a number of surfaces, including floors, tables, furniture and wooden toys.
The choice of finish is yours to make
Clear Osmo Polyx Oil Original products will colour enhance and bring vibrancy to absorbent wood species. With four clear finishes available, plus a selection of seven stunning coloured tints, you can create the finish of your choice.
The clear, glossy finish allows light to reflect back creating a beautiful surface, while the clear, satin finish emphasises the wood grain providing a subtle sheen across the wooden surface. For an almost completely natural look then the clear matt is the choice for you.
When opting for a tinted look, the wood grain still remains visible after application and offers the wooden surface a new light or dark colour.

Will it protect my wooden floor in moisture prone areas?
Wood is a natural material and one that is porous. So, in moisture-laden areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, it is recommended that the floor be given an extra layer of defence before the Polyx-Oil, and primed with the Osmo Wood Protector.
Once applied and dried, your choice of Polyx-Oil finish can be applied.

Osmo Polyx-Oil Hardwax Oil – the best for oak and other absorbent wood floors
The resulting surface treatment is water and dirt resistant; it even withstands spillages of acidic drinks such as juice and cola, although it is advised that any liquids dropped or spilt on treated wood is cleaned as soon as possible. It is long lasting and durable; over time it does not crack, peel or flake and better still is abrasion resistant.
As said, a little goes a long way, so you can keep the left-overs for up to 5-years for any touch ups that may be required.
Polyx-Oil will leave your floor well protected, yet still retain all the beauty and opulence of the natural product. The minimal effort oil is one of the best sellers in the Osmo interior range and after you try it, you will know why millions of people around the world use it too.
